Before leaving the plant, every engine is dynametered at carefully controlled speeds, temperatures and loads.  This run-in, equivalent to highway operation, helps rings to conform to the cylinder walls, bearings to adjust to the crankshaft and the lifters to mate without gailing.  Because of this run-in, your remanufactured engine is ready to operate under full load at top efficiency as soon as it is installed.
